medication and weight gain

Anonymous
I am on a new medication and after a decade of being the same healthy weight without much work, I've gained 6 pounds in 6 weeks and I'm really uncomfortable. I'm not eating differently, in fact, I'm pretty sure I'm eating less if anything. But my digestive system is much more sluggish.

What do I do? I don't want to weigh more. I don't want to have to extreme diet. Do you think things will even out or do I have to make a big lifestyle change?

Talk to your doctor immediately. I was in your position about 15 years ago. Over the years the weight gain reached almost 100 pounds. Now I'm on Wegovy trying to counteract the weight gain of one medication with another medication.
