| Can clubs move teams mid year from say NCSL to VPSL or EDP? Or are you locked in for the full soccer year? I've heard parents talking about it at practice with the manager and I'm pretty sure that's not possible but didn't see anything obvious online. |
you can probably do it at ncsl and definitely to edp. |
| So your ease dropping on other's conversation and then come here to ask? |
By and large, there are some parents on my team that say crazy things quite often. It would be smart to pose a clarifying question to another audience beside the people you might distrust. -I see no wrong in posting legitimate questions here. Besides some of the obvious non-sense, by and large this forum does help people get answers and more information to fully frame and clarify their questions. |
| ...and as a Team Manager myself of 4 years, I believe the answer is yes you can switch leagues mid season. Each club and their teams must re-register for the spring season. They are separate registrations. I have not heard of contractual clause that would prohibit a switch from NCSL to EDP over the winter. |

What do you mean by Mid Year? In soccer, we talk in terms of season, Fall which is Spring to Nov and Spring which is April to June.
If you played NCSL in the Fall, you can switch to EDP in the Spring and vice versa. ECNL and MLS Next is different, and you cannot switch. |
| I don't think the switch will happen until next Fall (F25). Clubs have existing teams that have been developing together all Fall, I can't imagine they'd tear that apart for Spring |
Clubs can move players to a different team within the club. Say you're in a club that has NCSL teams and VPSL/RL teams, they move kids towards that 1st teams sometimes. |
Are you sure? We are being told we can move from pre-encl this fall to ncsl this spring…. |
"pre" ecnl is not the same as ecnl. |
