| I didn’t vote for Trump and am embarrassed he won, so I’ve been checking out European forums to get their take. It’s fascinating to read their reactions. There’s lots of talk that they may now have to put boots on the ground in UK or spend more on their military. Basically, the U.S. won’t do our dirty work anymore or fund our security kind of thing. It makes me really resentful that while they make fun of us, especially now, and they have no problem taking our money or the lives of our soldiers. Just depressing because as an American we are pretty much f@&kd in our own country and abroad right now as well. We welcome more immigrants than any other country and yet somehow we are mocked by countries who benefit from our hard work. I guess we don’t deserve any sympathy. We voted for this. |
| The Europeans are starting to realize they shouldn't leave the fate of their security in the hands of 100,000 Wisconsin voters every four years. |
| The world reaction in short is; lousy people are happy, decent people aren’t. |
| Yes, Germany and France are now saying Europe needs to be strong on its own. They are worried about US isolationism under Trump. |

NATO membership has always come with a clear obligation on member countries to spend at least 2% of their GDP on national defense.
It is a binding obligation; an unequivocal requirement; a mandate. If NATO members fail to spend the required 2% on military spending, the consequence is: - nothing. No consequences. For decades, most NATO members ignored the requirement (Greece has been a notable exception; guess why). In 2012, Trump ran for president, briefly. One of his primary platform positions was for our so-called allies to PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE. He was not wrong then and he is not wrong now. The only factor which has forced many EU NATO members to pay their 2% is Putin. I am extremely anti-Putin, but Europe is partly to blame for Putin. They naively thought he would be the EU’s “peaceful trading partner.” Sorry Europe: time for you to build more guns & bombs. We are not your 911 anymore. |

Hahaha
Let's see all those Europeans shove their free healthcare, free college education, 3 months of vacation, and 2 years off maternity leave after they have to start spending $800B on their own defense to prevent Russia from invading. It is good Europe has to take the primary role in their own defense. They will have to cut all of their cushy social benefits. Their defense is so pathetic. They barely have any naval power because they've relied on the US and our taxpayers for far too long to do it. |

US taxes the whole world by having the US dollar be the accounting for oil while also printing dollars for itself.
If the US wants to dominate the world, it has to pay the bills for it too. Or hand the word to China and Russia like Trump wants. Good luck with that. |
| Zelensky must be having a bad day today. |
Really? If they where doing that then we should drop them as allies. |
