Arl county board race--whose policies address issues of the middle class?

I am not even sure our family is middle class, but I remember when we were poorer and what strikes me is how many subsidies and discounts we were able to access. Now that we are a bit more comfortable, we are squished into this donut hole where we have to pay full price for everything and, guess what, we are completely under water, surviving only by taking on more credit card debt. Which candidate, in your understanding, addresses the plight of the squeezed middle class in Arlington?
