Please help me save a difficult holiday for my now-divorcing brother. He lives in Norwalk, next to Darien, in Fairfield County. His soon-to-be-ex-wife was going to cook but now she will be spending the holiday with the man she’s cheating with.
Where can a party of 6 have a lovely meal on Thanksgiving in that general area? Doesn’t have to be traditional Thanksgiving food, just delicious and able to accommodate a few tweens (who like all kinds of food). |

Sorry for your brother. I hope you and your family can enjoy Thanksgiving.
I like these options in the area. Capital Grill in Stamford does a lovely meal. Terra Gaucha is a Brazilian steakhouse which is great for groups a - lots of meat options and a big salad bar. L'Escale is beautiful and very upscale in Greenwich with a water view but is going to be expensive. Also another thought is to order a Thanksgiving pickup meal from Palmer's Market in Darien, they have delicious options including turkey, pie, rolls, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and cornbread. It is my favorite market for to-go holiday meals. Stew Leonard's does a similar setup but Palmer's is better for the quality of the meal, and their bakery is outstanding. |
Thank you ever so much! |

| Prime in Stamford has a Thanksgiving day meal. Make reservations on open table. |
| You all have such good suggestions - I thought it was far too random of a location 🤗 |
I never liked Garelick https://gabrielsbarandrest.com/assets/thanksgiving2023.pdf |
I don't think the average family in CT feels like driving an hour to NYC for a very overpriced Thanksgiving dinner. |
But it is in Westport, CT |
Link goes to a restaurant in NYC? But maybe you meant this restaurant instead in Westport? However, they are not open for Thanksgiving. https://www.gabrielesofwestportct.com/ |
| Does he want to stay in the immediate area? Or would he prefer to go out further away from home? |
Close to home would be nice but up to 20 minutes away is OK too. I don’t think we’re up for a trip into the city. |
