Portable DVD reccomendations?

I'd like to get a portable DVD player that would work both in our van as well as in a plane. Does anyone have recommendations?

We have a carrying case that hangs over the seat of the car

It's a bit awkward to set up, but it's been working well for us for three years. We happen to have a Toshiba player, but the case is the key item.

Since we travel to California a lot to visit my family we have been through a lot of these. I used to buy whichever player was the cheapest with a battery that lasted about 4 hrs - usually by a brand I did not recognize in the $130 range. We went through 2 of these before I wised up. I finally gave in and bought a really good quality Sony one with a really long batter, swivel screen with great quality picture and it has lasted us a three times as long and is still kicking. I recommend going for the best one you can afford, I believe it is worth it...for your sanity!

I have a mini-van but did not get the DVD player option - we simply use the portable DVD player on any road trip over 2 hrs.

Best,
Jessica

zenith from best buy. they are great, have never had a problem with them. really inexpensive too, $99. We had the really expensive sony, it broke. never worked "better" than the one we have now. good luck

get the warranty option. they'll replace it for three years. these things break so it's probably worth the extra $10-$15.
