Is this common?

Both of the lesbian couples in my child’s grade has a child that was born female but identifies as a male now. Second grade. Is this pretty common?

Not common. There does seem to be a genetic link to being LGBTQ though so I think it would be more common than straight cisgender couples.

In Takoma Park or Adams Morgan? Sure. Minorities cluster together.

In general, most classrooms don't have two lesbian couples as parents.

+1. It's a mistake to assume that something is "common" because it happens frequently in a small self-selected sample. My kid's grade has two trans parents, which is definitely unusual, but much more likely in a place where trans people are more likely to live.

Do they have podcasts? I've noticed that the children of podcast hosts have a 10x chance of being trans.
