How is the Avonshire subdivision in Silver Spring/Fairland, off Briggs Chaney Rd?

I’m looking over there; townhomes seem to sell for a reasonable amount. Here are my questions:

1. How are they built? I know they’re from the ’80s, so slightly newer—are they sturdy or lower quality?

2. Any pest problems? Roaches, mice, ants, anything—even small stuff; I would like to know.

3. Noise: I know there is a noise barrier due to Route 29. If anyone knows someone who lives there or lives there, does the barrier help at all?

4. How are the HOA dynamics? Dysfunctional? Good? How strict are they on upkeep?

5. I know this is very weird and niche, but if anyone knows someone who lives there, what wiring is used in the homes? I just want to know if I’ll need to get work done should I buy in the neighborhood. Thanks!
