Ugh…Halloween candy

Anonymous
I’m 730 calories over my budget for the week. I was wondering how many people just stop entering their food diary into things like Noom and LoseIt during Halloween week. I bet it’s a signficant decrease in people logging for the day!

Today I ate an egg on a roll, coffee with milk, cabbage soup, homemade salmon and avocado sushi. 4 snack sized milky ways, and a full size Reese’s…..1600 caltories which would be fine if I were still 40! Sign.

Sorry, I’m just trying to achieve your level of dumbness but it’s too far to reach.

I give myself 2 days off to eat candy. Then it's over and I start journaling again.

I love sweets but Halloween candy does nothing for me. Even my kid does not like it. We generally throw it away few months later.

Sorry, meant sigh. fTR, I’m not the one calling people dumb! No judgement from this middle aged candy eater.

Do you ever go into an office? Or have a partner who does? Bring your candy in there. Bring all of it.

Yeah just get out of the house.
To save your sanity, I’d just (gasp!) throw it away if that’s the only option

I gave myself two days to snack on my kid’s candy. And stopped journaling those 2 days. I get exhausted by my behaviors. I’m pediatric and not supposed to eat processed foods or sugar, and the shame feels greater if I log it. But I’m done as of yesterday and back on the wagon.

Whole grain toast with almond butter and cucumber for breakfast, and I feel almost human again.

I am supposed to go into the office but haven’t since Thursday and now I’ve basically eaten it all. Luckily we didn’t buy too much because I anticipated this. The real problem is that I am majorly stressed with work and if I’m up at 2 am doing work, I’m going to stuff my face with milky ways.

It’s funny that I deliberated whether to lie to my dieting app, refuse to tell it anything at all, or just be brutally honest. Like why would I even consider lying to an app? It’s ridiculous but I bet a lot of people do! That would be an interesting social science study.

Honestly, just toss it. NO ONE needs the Halloween candy in bulk. Not kids, not adults, not soldiers, or whomever. It’s not good for anyone. No one needs you donating junk candy.
