Happened at Market Place in NE where the Costco is to many stores. Guessing it's the same type of incident.

I’m old enough to remember that the reason the President no longer gets out of the limo to shake hands on the rope line during the inaugural parade was because in 2001 Democrats threw eggs and other projectiles at George W Bush.

That was also the last year that anyone could just show up for the inaugural parade without a ticket or passing through security.

Didn’t something really big happen in 2001 that changed how security was managed everywhere? Big events, airports, streets in DC? Did eggs change all that?
