10/21 BOE Candidate Forum held by League of Women Voters

The League of Women Voters held an MCPS BOE candidate forum 10 days ago that’s very helpful for those wanting to hear from the candidates. Anyone who is trying to decide who to vote for on the BOE should watch this. Looks like only 250 views so far so I am posting here in case this is helpful for others (it was for me).

If you’ve watched this, what are your impressions?

For me, it became clear that Harris and Evans are out of touch with the reality of current MCPS schools, issues, and how students, staff, parents are feeling and the challenges they face. I can see why the teacher’s union is not supporting the incumbents, but I have to say that Laura Stewart’s presentation concerned me. She struggled to articulate her answers and did not come across well. Is she usually this flustered and inarticulate?

She is. I watched several of the primary forums and I was not impressed with her.

Yes. Because she was lying. Her values don't align with most normal people.

Harris and Evan’s are part of the current mess and take no responsibility. They need to go. Stewart is not a good choice but the only option given the bad choices we have.
