| I work in a location known as a hot spot for car break ins. The employee parking lot isn't anywhere near large enough to accommodate all employees. I have to street park. today my window was smashed, it costs $500 to repair. Do you think an employer would cover this? |
| hahahahahahahahahahaha. no. |
Why would they? |
| No that's what your comprehensive insurance is for. You could try guilt capital to get a spot in the lot. |
| No. Why would they? Did you leave anything in view? |
| No. |
| Welcome to live in the real world. Get an alarm system for your car, don't leave anything in plain view inside, drive a junker to that kind of environment or take an alternative form of transportation. Or change employers so you can work in a safer environment, letting your current employer know why you're leaving. |
| How would you even justify that the job is at fault for the break in? |
| No. I wouldn’t even cover a claim in our employee parking lot. |
| Get a better job that doesn't require you to work in the hood. |
| No, it wasn't even on their property! |
| Do they force you to drive your car to work? |
|
No.
Look for another job in a safer area. |
| Nope. |
|
Vow. I didn't even get the employer to pay me a penny and kept some of the money I earned for them that was supposed to go to me.
Since that's my experience with many employers, wouldn't cross my mind to even come up with the idea of them paying. Since you did, you have got paid for the hours worked and paid well as you have a car to drive there. Go through your insurance and see if ubering is cheaper. |
