Private school Admissions Counselors

How good are they? If your DC attends a private in the DMV, how is their college counselor? I'm wondering if my DC is getting good advice or not. We have not met the counselor. DC communicates with them - but their advice is all over the place. We did not hire anyone as we trusted the school to have good counselors...but wondering if we made a mistake?! DC is a senior. I guess there is nothing to do at this point, but should DC follow counselors advice even though it totally goes against earlier advice

Does your child attend a private? Your question is very unclear.

Your thread title sounds like you’re looking for an admissions counselor for entering private school, but your post sounds like you are looking for a college counselor. Clarify?
