Any recent experiences with this?

My DC, who is not a strong student, wants to apply. I am worried about whether it would be too rigorous (seems like DC would have to accept that some of the accommodations on their IEP would not be offered). Also, a little worried that my kid is too young and immature to already be narrowing the pathway like this. OTOH, maybe it's a solid path to employment?
