No, not how many people marched on the mall this weekend (you wish!)
I just noticed that you can see how many posts have been made since this new forum software was put in place: 957,000. I assume that it was launched around November 2007, based on the date Jeff Steele "joined" the forum. Based on that, and assuming the pace of posts is reasonably constant, we should expect the 1 millionth post to land some time in late September / Early October. So if you are posting around that time, make it good. Lord help us, you know the 1 millionth post is going to be "where can I buy lids for the snack trap?" It will be in the off topic forum, so someone is going to say this should be in General Forum. Someone else will say "google is your friend", 15 people will write back BRUS or BBB. Someone will point to an eco-friendly 15 dollar snack holder, which will draw out all sorts of sheesh's, and then urban/suburban chaos will ensue because BBB and BRUS aren't in the city. Worse yet, the millionth post might not even be a new topic. The millionth post could merely say "This". So do your part. When you see the number coming around, make it memorable! |
Oh, I thought this was going to be one of those shallow "how long did it take you to make your first million?" posts. |
me too! so glad it wasn't. |
Thanks for the laugh this morning, all three of you! |
Wasn't the new format in 2007? DCUM has been around longer than that. |
You do? Where do I go to check the number? |
At the bottom of the Forum Index page. |
I think the millionth post should be on one of the following:
Beauvoir push presents BFing after 12 months |
Or "what do SAHM's do all day?"
|
acutally there were close to a million on the mall this weekend, just wanted to clear that one up for you.
scared yet????BOOOOOO!!!!!! |
