| What should be expected at the next The Virginian tournament? |
|
OP, please stop reporting perfectly normal posts and making insane accusations about other posters.

what age? girls? boys?
generally- it is well run and good competition, especially at the younger ages |
|
All of the ages in the tournament.
Girls and boys. |
It's hot. Parking is awful. Refs are in training - so miss a lot of calls. |
|
I don’t understand the question. It’s like most other soccer tournaments. Hot, busy, crowded, some refs are better than others. What specifically are you asking?
Are you an SYC parent? If that’s the case, plan to work every second of the weekend from dawn till dark and hope you can catch your kid’s game. |
What do you mean by the refs are in training? Are there instructors at the fields teaching the refs on the field? |
|
SYC TD stikes again.
The Virginian is the worst club ran tournament in this area. SYC top teams are FORCED, that is right FORCED to 1. play 2. pay to play. They also make the top team play up a year and they typically end up playing each other in the finals. Refs are horrible. Fields are horrible. |
But besides that it's great, right? |
+1 And for the boys at the High School ages the level of competition is extremely low. ECNL has a tournament on the same weekend and most other MLS clubs don't show up. |
| +1 good for you. Job well done kiddo |
| To add to the bad refs; what the hell is with using deflated or water logged garage balls at this tournament? I thought it was just bad luck for us but talking to other parents it's a problem every year. Stupid thing to complain about but on top of everything else it's icing on the cake of how bad the whole thing is. |
They are all new and no, there are no instructors or lines people. |
Its cheaper to get ref in training. 50% discount. |
| What teams were in the top flight last year in each age group? |
