Career plans on Common App

| My daughter showed me the PDF of her common app last night and I was surprised that she chose ‘other’ for career in the future plans section. The goal she wrote in is exactly what she wants to do and also makes a lot of sense in the context of her application, but is it normal to not just choose one of the categories provided? I’m worried it seems kind of extra or trying too hard. |
