Astound for internet service?

Does anyone have Astound internet and have any feedback on it?
I want to get rid of my Fios package and go internet only. It’s only me, sometimes one other person, using internet. No WAH, no gaming, some streaming on or two devices at a time. I want to pare down and cut costs. Xfinity doesn’t seem like a good value anymore. Any recommendations? |

+1 - we have FiOS internet only, and its been great! Super reliable. |

DP. That price is not available to us --because we are existing customers. We pay FIOS about $80/month for 30/30 (1/10th the speed). |

I’m happy with our 300/300 as it’s plenty fast and reliable for us. I can’t see changing. Having said that, the Verizon website (home and mobile) is one of the most barbaric things known to mankind. And I work in IT. The website makes things extremely difficult to change. If you call and speak with a human, ask to see if they can switch you to internet only. If not, threaten to leave. That usually gets it done. |

I had Astound (internet only) up until last year. They were originally RCN, and I'd been with them since 2008. Zero issues and whenever the price increased, I'd call to complain and they'd lower it back to the original price.
The only reason I switched was because my building now bundles Xfinity with the rent. |
