Infertility Support and Discussion

I'm looking for give-me-hope success stories here -- We have MF issues (lowish count, low morphology, good motility) and our first child is celebrating her 1st birthday this week. She was conceived by FET after three failed IUIs and a fresh IVF+ICSI cycle that resulted in a BFP but then a miscarriage. We have no more frozen embryos -- out of 11 eggs, only 7 fertilized, only 4 actually made it to day 3, and we used them all for the 2 cycles.
So now we are hoping for #2, and I'm hoping that since we're still paying off the loan for the first baby we won't have to do IVF again. Any success stories out there of natural pregnancies after IVF? We're just starting to try, and I'm not nearly as stressed this time as I was last time so I'm hoping that helps. I am also trying not to stress out my husband by filling him in on all of the intimate details of my cycle and fertile days. |

Success story over here but dont have the same issues as you. I had 3 failed IUI's, 1 miscarriage, 1 successful IVF with no leftover embryo's and got pregnant again naturally which resulted in a healthy pregnancy.
Good Luck!!! |
| I did get pg on our own after conceiving #1 through IVF/ICSI (4th round), but it ended in m/c. Kept trying for another year and ended up doing a FET for #2. |
| Me to. #2 conceived when I was 39 just before IVF baby #1 turned 1. But, we did not have MF issues, we were "unknown". |
| We didn't actually do IVF for our first child, but had 4 failed IUIs (one chemical pregnancy). We had severe male factor and PCOS and were told I wouldn't get pregnant without IVF/ICSI but declined to do it and moved on to adoption. Got pregnant 3 months after bringing our first child home. |
| Good friend got pregnant four months after delivering baby number 1 through IVF--(their issue was the hubby's sperm although I don't know what was the problem) In any event the doc told them that sometimes having a baby gets your body into "baby" mode and a second pregnancy can be easier. Good luck! |

MF here too. low count and morph. decent motility. i have no issues. have twins from a FET ICSI. twins were 11 mths and i was still breastfeeding some when i found out i was pregnant but unfortunately missed miscarriage at 12weeks. thought it was a fluke. 6 mths after miscarriage, it happened again and he is now 7 wks old. best of luck to you and your husband.
(my dh was retested after the spontaneous pregnancies since he is working with a Dr who is tracking his sperm analysis for an ongoing study. is was still low'ish at 15 million - it had been as low as 1.5 million. the morph was still terrible at 2%.) |
| Thanks! That's what I was hoping to hear. |
