Loudoun County High School Administrators

How do you rate your high school administrators in LCPS?
Anonymous
The same administrators who tried to cover up for a student who violently sodomized another student in a Loudoun County school bathroom?

And rather than suspend or expel the rapist, they merely moved him to another school? (where he raped another student?)

There was an assault in one of the high schools during a sports practice. The parent (of the victim) complained to the school and all they did was suspend the student from practice for a few days.

No one “tried to cover up.”

In any case the people in charge during that incident are gone now. So, no, not the same administrators.

Are you low information or just stupid?

You mean to be talking about the corrupt and inept sheriff’s department, I believe.

The administrators including many principals prefer to cover up these incidents or sweep them under the rug rather than address them directly. This create a major problem for the kids that do well and do the right thing. This is still going on to a large extent. The rape case wasn't an isolated incident in how they cover things up. The people who left were only the tip of an iceberg as to what's happening in these schools.

They always cover up incidents. Any bad news is a poor reflection on the system.

True.

The forced-sodomy case made national headlines.

There were also separate headlines about the private FaceBook group who were plotting to hack anyone’s computer if they spoke out against teaching Critical Race Theory (which they denied teaching and covered up).

This FB group were conspiring to commit crimes, but yes - the sheriff’s department was too inept and technologically-challenged to properly investigate and prosecute group members.

There are major problems behind the scenes with the administration at LCPS.

The cover ups are still happening. The bullying of the girl who left light ridge for independence said she was being bullied at light ridge. Then they came down hard on her. These types of incidents are still occurring at light ridge. Hitch an ignores them.

Retaliation is a big problem with anyone who complains about anything at the lcps schools.

This happens in FCPS too.

OP are you implying people should NOT become an admin at LCPS despite those 6-figure salaries for just putting out fires among students and staff?

How do you convince someone to not get into a comfy check like that? Asking for a friend

The case that was seen in the media is only one incidence of a much wider problem in the schools where they don't address problems and/or they hide the way they address the problems.

This.
I find it disturbing that no one also took the sheriff's office to task for that situation. They were as much at fault as LCPS. And yet, no blowback or media outrage for them.
Both LCPS and the Loudoun sheriff's dept had a lot to answer for there.
