Marianne?

What does everyone think about Marianne? I recently came across this name and find it very pretty. DH and I like names like Charlotte and Isabelle, but we don't want a top 20 name.

My aunt is named Marianne and she's just started having grandchildren, so I think that's the sweet spot in terms of time. I do like the name.

My DD’s name is Marian, as in Marian the Librarian, and while people do pronounce it as “Miriam” sometimes, generally speaking, I think it suits her and people like it. I haven’t come across any other Marian’s or Marianne’s. I thought about Marianne, I love that name! I love it from “Sense and Sensibility.”

Did you watch that Netflix show called Marianne? I did. I can't hear the name without picturing hair, bones and teeth wrapped in skin.

I love it but because I have lots of French associations with it. Marianne is the female personification of France. I also love the Leonard Cohen song.

I love this name and far prefer it to Marian. Marianna is also beautiful.
