Ela enrichment question

So I got a letter from the school saying my kindergarten child has been identified as needing enrichment in the ELA subject. Does that mean my child is at a lower level and needs more help or higher level will get more challenging work? The letter seems to go either way and I am bit confuse.

We don’t have the full text of the letter so can’t say.

Enrichment usually means the latter.

Sounds like this is for WIN (what I need) time and that your kid does not need an intervention so is in a group that provides enrichment.

I’d use the term “enrichment” very loosely when describing the MCPS elementary school ELA curriculum

WIN time at our school does not use the curriculum. Last year my kindergartener learned about different animals and completed projects. It just means that your kid is in a large class doing activities outside the curriculum, while others who need supports are in small-group settings getting support with the curriculum.
