I live on a narrow residential street, and don’t have a driveway or garage. So street parking is my only option. But every now and then someone driving down the street at night smacks into, and damages, my driver’s side mirror. The car is dark colored, which I’m sure doesn’t help. Is there anything I can do to help reduce my odds of getting hit again? Like, is there some sort of reflective magnet I can put on the car to make it more visible at night? Any ideas welcome, thanks!
Can you fold the mirror in? If it’s just the mirror that might help.
Park closest to curb as you can, fold your mirror, park between cars and make sure your car doesn’t stick out compared to the two cars you parked between. Look for parking on a different street that is wider.
Op here. Thanks for these replies. Our mirror doesn’t fold, unfortunately, and our house is positioned in such a way that we are the first parked car. I’m hoping there’s some sort of product we can buy to make the car more visible at night.

You could try reflective stickers or straps like this:

How can your mirror not fold? My car is 14 years old and has folding mirrors. Are there some brands that just don’t do this?
Yes. |
You could also park further up, not right ifo your house. Decide which is more important to you.
