Sorry to hear that! This was more like a case of the flu, but shorter lived. Miserable, but just shorter duration.

strep throat in our family - came on fast with no fever just really sore throat.

Yucky, mucus cough, no fever with pink eye. My daughter, nanny, husband had it and now my son has it. My daughter's lingered a little too long and she was just put on antibitotics for an ear infection and lung infection.

Disgusting projectile vomit stomach virus is circulating through my friends and our household. It last 24-48 hours and includes a low fever.

DC has mucus filled diarrhea and cramps-fun times

My son just got over a strange virus.

Day 1- didn't feel like eating all day, vomited 1x with diarrhea around 7pm (did not vomit again)
Day 2- low grade fever (99's), weakness, lethargy, and complaining of headaches, no appetite
Day 3- negative strep test, weakeness/lethargy continues, complains of headache in fever (which I discover coincides with 99-100 fever in evening)
Day 4- still weak, finally starts eating small amounts again, headache/low fever returns in evening
Day 5- same
Day 6- same
Day 7- return to doc, strep still negative, still weak, headache does not return that evening
Day 8- energy still non-existant
Day 9- energy starts to return

He's back to normal now, but it was definitely longer than the viruses we're used to.

My almost 4 year old had a week long virus with fever as high as 103 and then when fever went down he was still really sick. Sore throat and didn't want to eat. He was plain miserable a good 6 days.
