Asymetrical body odor - only in one armpit!

Question for females: Do you ever experience body odor coming for one armpit only? I am wondering if this is related to hormones because it seems to be more prevalent closer to ovulation. It is only in my left armpit.

Usually it's just one that has an odor but I always apply antiperspirant to both

Have you had a mammogram recently? Lymph nodes checked by doctor?

Mammogram more than a year ago, everything was normal

yes I have had this intermittently for about 30 years. no abnormal mammograms and a clean breast MRI

Yep. I assumed it was lymphatic related (mine is right pit). It’s my dominant hand too. Maybe that’s it.

Apocrine glands. Perhaps more than other side and lopsided.

I am left handed and only my left armpit gets BO and my right does not. It has been this way for as long as I can remember.

I did read about a woman for whom this was a breast cancer symptom. I’m sure that’s not the most likely outcome, but do your self exams and screenings and ask your doctor

Take this for what it's worth. I saw a Facebook reel with a woman who, I think, does lymphatic drainage, and she said something happens in the left armpit that leads to body odor. Let me see if I can find it.
