Tips for Zoom class

My 8 year old is starting a Zoom class. Class require a microphone. Any recommendations for a kids mic? And any other tips? I don't have much experience with Zoom for kids or adults, so I just want to make sure I'm not missing something basic here.

Any headset with Mike will do, or use what’s in computer and you can monitor what’s going on. Tell the teacher to watch the chat box or close it down.
Blur the background or have a blank wall behind child.

Do a test Zoom meeting with a friend before the class starts. A lot of families have poor bandwidth or dead spots in the house. Kids don’t realize this or know how to fix it (buy plug-in signal amplifiers).

The device mic is probably fine

I also use the device mic. If I pass by, I can hear what is going on, which I consider to be a plus.

Teach your child how to mute and unmute. Etiquette states one must have camera on at all times and be muted unless speaking. Then mute when finished speaking.
