So if a kid has change in dismissal plans, the parent has to drive to the schools to let them know. YGTBFKM

No, just like they aren't reimbursing MCPS for internet and electricity for charging their phones.

If it weren't a one-off the approach might be different.

I assume they’ll send out a message once they are working. If not, that’s poor form.

I would try and email both the teacher AND the secretaries. Teachers don’t always have time to check their emails, especially if their lunch is over now.
