| It went down apparently earlier today. Anyone know? |
We have not gotten any notification that Silver Creek is back up yet (after receiving the notification that it was down this morning). |
| How about the other ES any fams on here know. 5 hrs later |
| Nope. Not back up AFAIK |
| So if a kid has change in dismissal plans, the parent has to drive to the schools to let them know. YGTBFKM |
Or email like a normal human in 2024. |
| Typical no communication |
Internet down Assume student doesn't have phone in ES (put away, locked whatever they call it). Expect teacher will check their email on their own plan? |
More than likely, yes - it's 2024 |
WTFAYTA? |
You reimbursing teacher for that plan? |
No, just like they aren't reimbursing MCPS for internet and electricity for charging their phones. If it weren't a one-off the approach might be different. |
| did you try calling? |
Babysitter has to call to find out if phones are working instead of schools sending affected families a message if and once they are fixed? |
I assume they’ll send out a message once they are working. If not, that’s poor form. I would try and email both the teacher AND the secretaries. Teachers don’t always have time to check their emails, especially if their lunch is over now. |
