What kind of therapy? For what type of problem? And for a grown-up or child?

Grown up - mother in law is alcoholic and much dysfunction in my new family.

Wow- it almost feels like I posted this in my sleep! Is the therapy for you or for your MIL? I may have a suggestion for both- but let me know. I am very sorry to hear about your problem...

The therapy is for me as I want to help my husband and I just don't know what to say ... unfortunately his mother refuses to acknowledge that she is an addict. This is despite her many overdoses. Huge mess. I would love to hear your suggestion ...

Covington and Hafkin on Montgomery Ave, but I don't think they take insurance.

Okay, thank you! I truly appreciate it.

Al Anon for you and DH. Adult Children of Alcoholics for DH. Both also have books that you can buy that might be helpful. Start with finding your "peers" so to speak, not all therapists have experience with these issues whereas the groups above only target them. Good luck to you and your DH.
