Medium size school for kid who hates the cold

Per the subject, we are looking for medium sized schools for a kid who hates the cold! Great student and very sporty - aside from Wake, W&M, and Richmond where should we look? TIA!

What is considered "cold"? Coming from the NE we would not consider VA cold but someone from GA would. What are stats? What do they plan to study? City? Suburban? Rural?

Thank you! This is super helpful. She wouldn’t want to go further than NY and would like to go somewhere bigger than 2-3,000 undergrads or so but not a gigantic state school if that makes sense. And she prefers suburban/rural over an urban setting.

This doesn’t make any sense. Mid sized school would be around 8000-10,000 students . 3,500 students is a small school. And she thinks NY is okay ie not cold? Scratching my head…. Villanova? Bucknell?
