Last one out of the City Council

, turn off the lights

I’m paraphrasing the already iconic New York Magazine cover showing everyone in the City Hall who got raided or resigned or both. DC has the villains but seemingly lack the courageous journalism and effective legal enforcement.

I tried to vote, but the guys in the ballot were a disaster. There’s a guy who was in prison on bribery but is on the Council running unopposed, the guy who’s on the Council about to go to jail. Indeed, it might be time to turn off the lights in the City Council. Prop 83 might help keep them on but it’s been dark times for democracy for a while
