Why are schools using an old textbook (a decade old)? Is that fair to students and teachers??

Unlike lots of textbooks, these change quite a bit between editions. I teach APES and would not want a 10 year old textbook.

I'd be thrilled for old textbooks. Most don't change that much. Its rare to get textbooks in MCPS. What do you think has really changed in 10 years.
