Gold-plated jewelry

Anonymous
What do you do when the plating wears off? I could see throwing away cheap pieces, but some of them have expensive stones.

Does anyone actually go and get things re-plated? Where?

I know Monica Vinader’s warranty covers replating, so it is probably something you could get at most jewelers for a fee.

Just get the stones reset with 14k or higher solid gold

This place offers gold replating of jewelry. This is something I have thought of doing but haven't, so no views on their services:

Never buy gold plated junk in the first place, dear.
