EC and Essay connection - Help pls

| DC's personal statement talks about the learnings from one of the ECs. DC is thinking of removing the EC because personal statement covers it. DC wants to add another EC in place. Is it ok to remove the EC if it is mentioned in details in the personal statement? or would it look weird to AOs that essay talks about the activity that gave very important learnings but not included as EC? DC is confused..... |

I would leave the EC in the activity section.
If the #11 EC is so important, find a way to combine two of the other ECs into a single entry. |

My kids, personal statement talks about a long-term 5+ year, summer family responsibility, that’s an important part of kids life. Has shaped the kid in immeasurable ways.
It is not listed on the activity listing, though it could easily have been. I don’t think it has to be listed UNLESS it aligns with major or is the mist important part of candidate profile. |
