HS Common App is open, and broken

Linked from ParentVue / [8thGrader] / Documents , and then ParentVue / Online Registration (hiding in parent's home page, not the student-specific page)

https://md-mcps.edupoint.com/PXP2_OEN_Home.aspx

The app loads, but step 2 is "confirm your address".

The app says my address is

"no address given
no city given, MD
"

even though the welcome letter shows my correct address, and you know obviously MCPS has has had and used my address for many years.

Then it sets to contact the school if the address is incorrect.

Bravo, MCPS!

Why is this MCPS's fault?

MCPS runs the HS Common App for applications to MCPS high schools.

You need to call the school and tell them to put your address in ParentVue.

I think it's the state's fault.

Try DC's other parent/guardian, if any. They might have your address stored correctly in their account.

There is a specific way your address needs to be entered and saved for the MCPS common app to know what schools your student is eligible for. It's possible the way it's entered works for mail delivery but not for this. I remember reading in the earlier messages that you should check your address. You have almost a month to figure this out and the app doesn't take long to complete.

Ugh. Another day another issue with a "system"

Cram has entered the room.

Have you filled out the annual verification? That’s where you can see if the school has your address for both the parent and student.

You can get that message if the school has the address for the student but not the parent, or vice versa.
