AP Online Courses—3rd Party Vendors

Anonymous
Has your child taken an online AP course thorough a 3rd party vendor? Who was the vendor? Was the course completely asynchronous? How was teacher feedback provided? Did your child score a 3 or higher in the AP Exam?

My kid tried one this summer and did not have a good experience. Withdrew after the first week and I lost $80.

Can I ask what prompted the withdrawal? Was it the format, the expectations, something else?

My child is taking AP Stats as an extra math class (no room in her HS schedule) thru an online school platform, but not taking the live classes, the recorded sessions only. It's going well. They have an 80% rate of 5's on the exams.

My kid says they are clear, they allow retakes on quizzes (same as in school) and she's on top of it.

Don't know about their other subjects.

No idea. you will have to ask your counselor if it is acceptable.
