Preschool with camera access for parents?

Anonymous
My daughter was in a daycare that had camera access for parents via an app. We recently moved and am looking for a preschool for my now 3 year old. Are there preschools that have camera access of is this more of a daycare feature? I feel safer being able to access a livestream because in the previous daycare there were questionable practices which we were able to catch.

Let go, OP.

Another daycare that has preschool aged kids.

I have heard of Kiddie Academy and Childtime locations that have a live stream. My friends who were at Kiddie Academy loved it. My friends at Childtime did not like it and moved to a nonprofit daycare that does not have cameras but is NAEYC accredited.

If I were a good daycare teacher I would not want to work somewhere with a livestream.

Like Panda Cam at the zoom. JFC, you need to show healthy boundaries.

I think that Sparkles may have livestream cameras.

Land the helicopter, crazy lady.

This is a false security OP - you don't have time to constantly watch your kid on livestream, or they wouldn't be in daycare.

I would focus on finding an accredited daycare with well trained, well compensated staff. My experience is that when something happens in that environment the other staff report it because they value their jobs. Also a lot of the accredited ones have video for internal checks even if the feed is not available to parents.

I would be so uncomfortable with this. Creepy uncles watching my kids in preschool all day. Can they also watch them sleep or watch them get their diaper change? And if not- if this is off camera- then the sense of security is very false.

I live in Baltimore and remember very well the baby who was murdered by the daycare provider. The murderer took the baby off camera to do it.

I would hate to work under a livestream. My guess is providers figure out what areas aren't on camera and spend their time there.

Working under constant surveillance would be a nightmare. I can already imagine all of the micromanaging parents immediately calling or texting about every minor “issue”.
