In her weekly email update to all of the parents in the class my child's teacher noted that anyone can ask for a parent-teacher conference whenever we'd like or ask to take home our child's binder for a day. I have no real concerns about our child's academics and know there will be a standard parent-teacher conference later in the year anyway, but is it a good idea to arrange one sooner since the teacher is specifically highlighting that it's on offer? Would this be valuable for getting feedback or, since we have no particular concerns, would it be better to just wait for the scheduled parent-teacher conference?
