PSAT student questionnaire

Anonymous
The PSAT/NMSQT includes an optional Student Search Service questionnaire which requests personal identifying information from students (racial/ethnic background, parent/guardian’s highest levels of education, etc.) This service can help students with particular backgrounds or interests receive information about educational and financial aid opportunities.

If we are not a particular background, any reason to fill or not to fill this out?

Just be sure your student knows if they do. It went all the mail..they should not check the box.

What? None of what you said makes sense.

It's just signing you up for ads based on your demographic. Lots of weird interest groups doing scholarships do get their name in the news.

I would not opt in to that and let the College Board sell my kid’s info to everyone. I told my kids not to opt in. No need to ruin their inbox for the next five (!) or so years.

… if they don’t want all …

That autocorrect wasn’t that hard to figure out.

Do all 10th graders have the option to take the PSAT? Mine hasn't said anything about it.

The school automatically registers all 10th graders to take it. Just be sure to send them in that day with a fully charged Chromebook.

Is it the same day at all schools? Anyone know when it's scheduled at Blair?
