Do men's jammer tech suits make a difference?

Anonymous

I get it for women - lots of things to compress, but what about men's suits? Does it make a difference?

My oldest kid (college freshman this year) said that the good tech suits helped a small amount once he got strong enough for there to be anything to compress, but he also thought a lot of the advantage was mental.

He swam most of his meets in briefs. He saved the tech suits for championship meets.

FWIW, he was always long and lean.

No, not at all.

Learned that from a D1 coach that recruited my oldest swimmer.

It really depends on what suits they are wearing if they are not wearing a tech suit.

Our kids coach wants them to suit up, so they suit up.
