Extremely specific college football game question

Hi,
I want to get my son tickets to see JMU home football game the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Will there be lots of students there and the normal fun atmosphere, or will it be dead b/c everyone is still at home with parents eating leftovers etc?

It won't be as big of a crowd as usual. Last year JMU was on ESPN's game day around that time. I believe it was the Sat before Thanksgiving and the school kept the dorms open so students could attend. But usually dorms are closed until the Sunday after Thanksgiving so fewer students will be around.
