Derrick Anderson poses with another man’s family

This is weird, right?

He’s the unmarried Republican running in Virginia’s 7th… he represents a fake family photo, posing with the wife and daughters of his friend.

Is this more a bear situation? Or did he just make his friend a cuck?

Very weird to use it for your campaign to pretend you have a family. He has a fiancée and dog - could have posed with them. That still seems family ish. Or pose with siblings and nieces / nephews to show you care about family. But this is weird!

Apparently it was never used in any ads. It was one of a collection of pics. I’m not saying it’s not a bit weird, but it doesn’t sound like he used the pic in any meaningful way.

It’s weird that even gotten taken in the first place. Have you EVER seen someone post like that with someone else’s entire family, in a way where he is at the center like some sort of paternal figure???

I am certain someone had intentions of using it in campaign materials and a smart adviser talked him out of it…

And now Walz has posted pretending to work on a truck to show he is just your average guy.

What is with these politicians faking their lives to try and be relatable. No one really cares if you don't have kids or don't spend your day with dirty hands deep in manual labour.

Just be yourself.

No, posing with another man's wife and 3 daughters, in a pose suggesting he's the husband and father, and without the real father in the picture...

... is truly creepy.

There is no comparison to Trump grinning maniacally in the seat of a semi, or Walz being a little stupid with his truck.

Yes, the family picture is weirder but apparently he didn't use it. But they are both for the same purpose. Pretending to be someone you aren't to appear more relatable to the voting base.

The pics were used….how do you think we found out about it? They were used in a campaign video on social media and on his website.

The photos were not used on TV commercials or campaign mailers.

I don't think you've been paying attention. MAGA definitely cares if you have children. Or maybe that's only if you are female. Double standards much?

Now this will be the only thing anyone will talk about with this dipshit for the next 5 weeks.

Who in their right mind agreed with him this was a good idea?

Yes, it's super-weird.

My husband knows him from way, way back. Before thus came out another mutual friend was lamenting that he changed a bunch once winning the nomination. He's probably doing exactly what the party wants him to do.

I suspect the only reason he's engaged is the campaign...he's been single for a very long time otherwise.

Is he, um, a "confirmed bachelor?"

This is extra next-level weird. I want to know the discussion that took place leading up to this photo being taken. Seriously.

Because that is very clearly a “family photo” type picture. I was just at a campaign event for an entirely different race/office and there were photos taken and none of them looked like this.
