| Amazon can’t deliver in time, Sur La Table is far from me, I check Whole Foods and they don’t have it, not sure if Michaels would have this expensive brand of chocolate…so are there any recommendations where in the DC and Bethesda area I can go to get a package of these chocolate disks? It’s for a chocolate chip cookie recipe I’m trying out this weekend. Thanks! |

Michaels would definitely not have that.

| In your shoes my backup would be WF Guittard chocolate pieces. Some are disk shaped. |
| I did a quick search and nothing popped up that would be local. King Arthur Flour has them with 2 day shipping. I agree I'd just do Guittard instead. Just make sure you get the right type chocolate. |
. Post the recipe. |

If you know someone with a wholesale license, restaurant depot has Callebaut callets. Those are my favorite for cookies, the 54.5% ones. Whole Foods sometimes has Callebaut and valrohna by the cheese section. They break up the 11lb Callebaut blocks and sell them wrapped in plastic. You can break those into chunks for cookies.
If you work or live near Farragut west, you could try the little chocolate store there, or there’s one on 18th st in AdMo. Idk what either one has by way of chips but you could call and ask. |

Thank you all! It’s the chocolate chip recipe from the NYtimes. In the video they recommended the disks, so I want to try it.

| Sur La Table might have them |
Did you not read the original post? |
This quest feels a little like when people drive around a parking lot for ages so they can find a spot close to the entry. Just get walking -- it'll be faster. Or, in this case, get driving to the most convenient SLT. Or make a different recipe. |
| Did you look in the right spot at Whole Foods? The chocolate disks are not in the baking aisle, but usually on a table near the gourmet cheeses. |
| I don’t think this will help OP since it sounds like she is in DC or MoCo, but apparently a King Arthur store just opened (or maybe opens tomorrow) in Fairfax. At Fairfax Corner? Thought the bakers on DCUM might be interested. |

Chopped chocolate will do as a sub, just don’t use regular chocolate chips since they don’t behave the same as real chocolate.
If you have a Trader Joe’s near you, their pound plus 70% bar is a great value and excellent in most cookie recipes. |
Jeez it was a mistake. Calm yourself. |
| They sell dark chocolate disks at broad branch market in the bulk section near the baking ingredients. I think they would be a great substitute - they may even be the and thing. |
