Cute coastal New Jersey towns to rent for a year

Looking for more cute and quaint NJ costal towns to rent a house for a year. I'm waiting for the jersey shore jokes to start lol but seriously are there any cute little costal areas you'd rent a place for a year in? Looking for some change.

I guess maybe Cape May? It's quaint and they seem to have done a bunch of things to make the off-season interesting with festivals and what not.

I would not look to New Jersey for this - I'd go to New England or PNW.

Spring Lake is so cute. Asbury Park has character that I think makes it cute. Both on the beach.

I don't find much charm in cold East Coast winters at the beach.

I would go to Southern CA. Can either go for Manhattan / Hermosa Beach and all the way down the coast to Mission Beach in San Diego.

Laguna is nice. San Clemente. Lots to choose as long as budget isn't a huge concern.

Sea Girt is great, Sea Bright and Spring Lake are very cute. Asbury Park has character and a lot of restaurants and things to do but is also not as nice as other places. Ocean Grove is also an interesting spot. Maybe Bay Head too

These towns are very nice (Bruce Springsteen lives in Rumson) but not at the beach.

They're "coastal." The actual beach towns can be pretty dismal in the winter.

The central Jersey actual beach towns, from Sea Bright down through Manasquan, are not dismal in the winter at all. Depending on budget, some great ones are Spring Lake, Avon by the Sea and Sea Girt ($$$), Bradley Beach and Belmar ($$), Asbury Park and Long Branch ($).

Those are all desolate from November through March.
