Bleachers in the rain - do you only use a poncho?

I feel like I need something else this week for a Friday game but with the rain continuing and the games not being canceled, what options exist for staying dry as possible in the stands? (HS football)

We bring an umbrella.

Do you have a bleacher seat, the kind that attaches to the bleacher itself and has a back? Those are great because you’re not sitting in a puddle, plus it’s warmer than sitting on metal.

This week has finally convinced me to buy a pair of rain pants from LL Bean for similar reasons.

I may only need them once a year, but I'll be grateful to have them....

There are also picnic type blankets (plastic on one side and wool type fabric on the other). Or, sit in the car 😃

Metal ones but man! Has it ever rained this frequently in recent years?!

Do you not remember spring? Spring was terrible. It rained every weekend for a straight month. So many canceled games, because my kids play on dirt.

We didn’t have any kids playing a Spring sport but I will from now on be prepared with rain pants and boots!

Stadium seat, hunter boots, long rain coat or stadium coat, umbrella and water resistant blanket for your legs. And coffee in an insulated cup.

Rain pants are also not a bad idea but I usually just wore jeans. You’ll be perfectly dry. The kids will be very wet!

We sit on a dry plastic garbage bag.

Bring a towel to sit on. I always forget it and never once have remembered after years of doing this. I see the parents sitting on the big towels on the bleachers and remember I once again didn’t bring one.

17:24 again, I keep a giant golf umbrella in the car though. I should add towels right now.

Bleacher seat, rain boots, poncho/rain coat (one that is actually water proof). I don't like going as far as rain pants. I'd rather be a little uncomfortable.

Don't do an umbrella in the stands - no one can see over it.

Also, I'll be out there for high school football on Friday "with you"!
