| What do folks who don't cook do for the 14-21 meals a week? In the Midwest, it was norm to open a can of green beans and eat it straight out of the can and call it a meal, but that was probably not enough at each meal. Frozen meals? take out? Breakfast for dinner? Only pre made salads? Lots of variety have come to shelves and freezers in last few decades but it's still a lotta meals. And if you have kids that's another x2 or 3. |

Whatever can be pulled together easily. Frozen foods made in the oven, simple dishes that can be prepared on the stove or oven with only a couple steps. Plenty of salads.
I don’t cook much but I do have to use the stove daily. I can’t imagine not cooking at all, and I would categorize myself as someone who does not cook. |
| Whole Foods hot bar and salad bar. |
| Trader Joes has a ton of options |
For each meal, or daily? Wow. |
Haven't been. What options? |
That's cooking. |
| Chips and salsa. Apples and PB. Soup from a jar. Heated up canned black beans. Cooking never feels worth it to me when these options are so good (unless I'm cooking for others). -not a a foodie. |
| Pasta out of a jar |
| You can’t make a turkey sandwich? |
| Newly married dd doesn’t cook or her husband. They do protein shakes for breakfast, apples w pb for lunch or rolled turkey slices and for dinner it’s chicken skewers from Costco with hummus. They aren’t foodies and will just eat the same thing over and over. Going out it’s Taco Bell or Costa Vida. Dd does make a chicken enchilada once a week. He also drinks a lot of calories such as 2 sugar free Red Bulls every day. |
Is this what you eat every day? I’m fascinated, please can you post all your weekly meals, and is this just for you or is this for a family? Thanks! |

I eat to live, I don't live to eat. Whatever easily accessible calories are in my house.
Breakfast is always a bagel and cream cheese. Lunch is always a PB&J and fruit. Dinner is a mix of oven ready vegan meal kit meals (dump everything in the tray and bake for 20 minutes if that counts as cooking) if DH and I are both home, or hummus and veggies, a microwaveable thing, or cereal w/almond milk for dinner. Kids eat kid friendly stuff--I cook for them way more than I cook for myself. Just not worth it for me. I have a TON of food allergies, so it's often easier for me to snack than to modify recipes. |
| I know how to cook very few things. So I make those things on repeat, I eat pretty simply, and ... that's it. So I don't make tomato sauce from scratch - I buy jars. I can brown chopped meat and make meat sauce and pasta. For lunch today I had pre-cut cantaloupe (I can't figure out how to pick fresh produce) and the frozen soup dumplings from Trader Joe's. I buy instant oatmeal cups for breakfast- just add hot water and let stand for a couple minutes. |

Empty nester single mom. I had peanut butter crackers for dinner (admittedly, after a big lunch out).
I can cook fine, but it is such a relief not to have to do it every night, and more importantly, not to have to wash all the da*n dishes!! |
