| I have really specific fond memories of every time my parents were driving us home from an event at night they’d have on smoooooth jazzzzz 109(?) on. I don’t think it was Delilah but it could’ve been? I think it was just local to this area. It was such great calming music. Anyone else? I want to say 109 but I’m not sure. |
| Dang. Thanks for the Kenny G Rick roll. |
CD 101.9 but are you from NJ or NY, that is where I hears the station. Philly's was 106 something I think. DC has a smooth jazz station into the 2000s but I can't remember station number at the moment. Smooth Jazz was big in the 80s and 90s I too remember hearing it in car with parents! "Watercolors" is the XMradio smooth jazz station |

OP HERE - YESSS !!!!! Woww. I was just transported to the backseat of the minivan, my sisters in the middle seats, my parents up front. It’s dark out and winter and I’m wearing my big puffy coat. I’m leaning my head in the seatbelt, looking out the window. That is on the radio and we’re all sleepy (except for my dad driving the minivan, very focused. We never turn a light on because he’d immediately drive off a cliff[just kidding that’s a meme]) Life is good. |
Yes, this. I was in college when this changed from classic rock to smooth jazz, I came home and was like WTF is smooth jazz. |

| WNUA 95.5. I remember the jingle but just remembered we lived in Illinois. |
Yup, I can hear it now. I HATED it. My childhood orthodontist either was a big smooth jazz fan or perhaps just brainwashed from a career immersed in office Muzak. Whatever the case, he could and did hum along accurately to every damn song on that station as I lay captive in the chair during lengthy braces related appointments. |
