| Does anyone have a violin (for 4th grade music) they are looking to part with? Thank you! |
| Would renting a violin be an option for you? |
| I do Call me BNJ |
| You need to rent. The violin must be sized correctly for your child. |
+1 And children can outgrow them quickly with a growth spurt, which means you may need to get the next size up sooner than expected. Most places that rent violins account for this in the rental policy. I would not buy a violin for a child learner until they had grown enough for the largest size. |
| If there's an affordability issue most schools have a limited number of instruments to provide for the year to FARMS students. |
| the size of the violin is determined by the size of a child, not the music grade or age (though it is obviously related). |
| Yes imagine my surprise when my 4th grader needed a NORMAL ADULT size cello because she's tall 😂😂 |
This. We did violin through FCPS too, and I remember they provided them to students based on need. We rented ours through Music & Arts, which is another option for you. |
