because he reported it late. Unbelievable. I knew it was a religious private school as soon as I saw the headline.

What a crock of sh*t. How messed up do you have to be to punish the reporter the exact same as the person who brought a bullet to school? Wtf?? I hope they do sue. |
I rarely see an article where the comments are 100% in agreement. I couldn't find anyone that argued in favor of the school's position. The logic is truly bizarre, but I'm not surprised at all that the administration is doubling down and sticking to their guns, pun intended. Now no child at the school will report anything, ever. Safer to play dumb and pretend that you didn't see or hear anything. I would not feel safe sending my child to that school unless the current administration was fired. |
In public school if you tell people about a safety issue you get punished for "spreading rumors and panic". |
Can you imagine what kind of havoc a loose bullet could cause? What if someone set the boy on fire and the bullet exploded? |
While I agree that the school was wrong here, I think that recent events have shown that responding badly to threats at school is an issue in public schools as well, so OP’s snark about religious schools is bizarre. |
My kid is at a religious school in moco and I would be pissed if this happened to her. I hope he’s no longer at that school. |
Sheer stupidity on the school's part. Of course they are sticking behind their decision, too. |
No you don't. |
How is a bullet a safety issue |
Although seemingly unfair, I agree with the school.
What if the boy with the bullet had a gun that was unseen by the snitch ? That could have ended in a tragic fashion. |
What if the next time no one reported anything fearing punishment? Your fears and more shall come to pass.. |
The school admin is stupid and they are doubling down on their stupidity. I hope the kid's parents sue the school and win big. |
You'll call the boy a "snitch" and at the same time agree that he should be punished for not "snitching" on someone else's time schedule? You are a real piece of work. I hope someday when you are parked somewhere legally, someone quickly plants a No Parking sign and then tells the meter maid. |
