My seemingly fit and slim tween has hyperhydrosis (sweaty palms) and surprisingly, somewhat high LDL. She plays rec sports and is maybe 95 lbs at 5’2”. No obvious signs of anxiety. Doctor doesnt seem concerned but no one else in the family has either of these symptoms, including me and DH who are both pushing 50.
Has anyone encountered these symptoms in a child before? I can’t shake the feeling that something is off. |

Don't sweat the hyperhydrosis. Will make for some cute awkward dates but no big deal.
Keep an eye on the cholesterol. Does she drink enough milk to help? |
| My 9 year old had a high cholesterol reading. Our doc said it is very influenced by fasting or not and recent diet. He had been at a summer camp that fed them pizza every day. We tested again when back to normal diet and it was all normal. |
| Get her tested for graves disease. Do you know what her last TSH was? |
