Anyone hate traveling ?

Anonymous
If it wasn’t for my wife and trying to accommodate her I would never waste the money and tolerate a bunch of strangers that want nothing to do with me , for so called travel

I can be much happier hiking or kayaking a white water river or reading a book on the beach of hanging out with friends.

I don’t need to go somewhere to have superficial people hate me

Well, I read this expecting to find someone saying they don’t find it relaxing and come home needing a vacation from their vacation. This is different. No, travel has never made me an insecure misanthrope.

Also, if you hate feeling judged, you have come to the wrong place.

You don't have to travel to hike or kayak a white water river or read on the beach?

It's also not a requirement of travel to "have superficial people hate me." What a strange thought.

The older I get, the less I like to travel. I don’t sleep well on a good day so, when I wake up at 4:30 AM, I am stuck in the hotel room.

I am stuck sick with bronchitis. Trying to keep smiling , but I keep wondering why I tormenting myself like this

Kayak is a drive. Hike is a drive. Beach is a drive

No plane to get sick in

Sounds like it is the kind of travel you do that isn't a good fit. Go places where you can go kayaking or hiking and read a book on the beach. There are many, many people who travel to do those exact things!

But without people and relatives. Maybe you are right. It is not the travel but the solitude.

I am stuck with relatives I don’t know that I don’t speak the language , my head hurts and they are mean to my wife and there are step kids and sleeping in others office rooms. No where to escape without being criticized , so I sit like a rock in a crowd unable to breathe with my head throbbing. I hate this

And they all love each other and jabber away

I'm with you, OP. I'm in my early 40s and love road trips and hiking.

I hate crowds, flying is often VERY unpleasant, and I hate spending tons of money on mediocre food/experiences.

What does this have to do with the topic at hand?

Seems that your issue is not with "travel" but with "visiting family."

You are one strange person. What makes you so important that people even think about you much less 'hate' you.

+1 I like to travel but I’m an introvert and need my privacy. That’s why I stick with my own family unit when we travel, and stay in a hotel when we can.
